Avid releases biometric luggage

Avid Biometrics, a developer of biometric solutions, has announced a line of suitcases and roller cases secured via biometric devices, according to an International Business Times article. The cases, called the Biometric Business Cases, operate via an embedded fingerprint scanner that only unlocks the case when an authorized user swipes his finger.
To power the unit, the case includes a USB rechargeable battery with a 90-day life at full charge. Additionally, the case is made of a polycarbonate material allowing flew, but also resistance to breaking or cracking with up to 250 lbs of force.
