Authentec to launch suite for netbooks

Authentec, a developer of biometric solutions, has announced it will be introducing a new family of both hardware and software solutions later this month, according to an E Week article.
The technology utilizes Authentec’s new fingerprint sensor called Marcy and itsTrue suite software, which has been developed for use with Windows 7 and the Windows Biometric Framework. Wherein most notebook or netbook embedded biometrics are intended for use with signing into secure VPNs or the computer itself, Authentec has added a few novel new uses for their biometric device. Specifically, the company is touting the ability to assign various fingers to launch and sign-in to different personal online sites such as Gmail, Facebook and MySpace.
