The Biometrics Institute, an organization representing more than 100 organizations and companies involved in the biometrics industry, will be hosting the 10th Biometrics Institute Australia Conference and Exhibition (BIACE) in Sydney at the end of May.
The BIACE is high-level international conference wherein experts in the various biometrics fields look at how biometrics can be better utilized for security purposes such as combating identity theft and immigration regulation.
Beyond the simple ideas of how biometrics can assist in furthering security, issues relating to privacy protection as a result of biometric system implementation are also expected to be discussed. In addition to the conference, the Biometrics Institute will feature many biometrics companies showcasing their newest technologies.
