Apricorn has released Aegis Bio 3.0, a software-free biometric USB 3.0 drive. The drive requires a fingerprint for secure data access.
The device is portable, with an integrated USB cable. It has the option to come with a hard drive or SSD. It doesn’t require administrative rights to set up or access data. Additionally, it operates independently of the host’s operating system. The AuthenTec fingerprint sensor supports up to five fingerprints, and its HD3D layer imaging technology meets NIST and FBI image requirements.
Other security features include military grade 265-bit AES-XTS hardware encryption and an embedded enrollment and software free design for cross-platform deployment.
The Aegis Bio 1TB model is currently available for $249.
