Animetrics, developer of three-dimensional face recognition solutions, has announced the release of two new smart phone applications that use facial recognition for access.
The first, called FaceR CredentialME, is available on Apple’s App Store for the iPhone and the second, called FaceR CredentialME AppLock, is available on Google’s Android Market.
While both offerings authenticate an individual’s identity via face recognition and have the option to add a password onto the biometric authentication for an additional layer of security, the Android offering enables a user to specify the app to secure specific on the phone.
Additionally, both options are powered by Animetrics’ 2D-3D FACEngine Facial Recognition Technology and is offered to other app developers to be integrated into its own authentication methods.
