Alien Technology and MyDealerLot are working together on a project to provide car dealerships with RFID-enabled client recognition systems and zonal-based inventory location systems.
The joint solution was implemented at a large European luxury car brand in New York City. The automated vehicle technology consists of nine Alien RFID readers, including eight Alien ALR-9900+ enterprise readers and one ALR-9650 single antenna RFID solution.
The aforementioned hardware is combined with MyDealerLots ACRMS technology which uses passive EPC Class 1 Gen 2 RFID tags and installed at various checkpoints throughout the facility to provide service drive and zonal location concierge functions.
Service drive concierge capabilities are performed using RFID to provide automated customer-arrival information, and also relays the customer arrival information to the appropriate dealership personnel, as well as targeted messaging to anyone within the facility.
