Advanced ID expands Latin American operations

Advanced ID Corporation, specialists in RFID solutions for the tire industry as well as animal tracking, has announced its expansion in the Latin American market with the formation of Advanced ID Brazil Ltd., a partnership with its largest Brazilian distributor. Advanced ID will hold a 20% interest in the Brazilian company, referred to as AIDO BR.
The company will attempt to capitalize on a booming South American economy with Brazil at its heart. Brazil is one of the fastest growing RFID markets, with demand for RFID-enabled solutions in the tire management industry of particular interest to AIDO BR.
Advanced ID will initially provide AIDO BR with system integration capabilities, customer service, local product stocking, software solutions and its suite of RFID tire products. Advanced ID also supplies Brazilian companies with livestock, pharmaceutical and vehicle tracking solutions, and AIDO BR can become a conduit for these businesses as well.
Finch also indicated that Advanced ID plans to create similar operations in other areas of the world.
