ACS Hires Michael Nash to expand transit technology business

Michael Nash, former Global Head of Operating companies for ERG, has joined Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) as its vice president of Transit Technology Solutions. With 20 years of experience managing large transit operations and in the credit card industry, Mr. Nash will be responsible for helping ACS become a leading integrator of technologies that provide contactless credit and debit card services at transit agencies worldwide.
DALLAS– Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. , a premier provider of business process outsourcing and information technology solutions, announced that Michael Nash has joined ACS as Vice President of Transit Technology Solutions.
Nash brings more than 20 years experience successfully managing large projects and transit operations in the global transportation industry with consumer, commercial, and government clients. Nash will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the business with a major focus on escalating ACS’ market share worldwide.

ACS acquired the Transport Revenue division of Swiss technology company Ascom in December 2005 and Nash will lead the efforts to build up Transport Revenue’s market leading fare collection systems with ACS’ established world- class, back-end customer service, processing, and reporting systems. The newly developed comprehensive end-to-end revenue system will make the ACS offering uniquely able to provide a comprehensive solution to transit agencies of any size or structure.
Nash joins ACS from ERG, where he held a variety of senior positions including serving as the Global Head of Operating companies. Prior to that, he was President of Proton World Americas where he established the U.S. subsidiary of this European smart card technology company.
In addition, Nash’s long history in the credit card industry, where he held senior leadership roles with Visa, American Express and others, will be invaluable in helping ACS become a leading integrator of technologies that provide contactless credit and debit card services at transit agencies worldwide.
