ACI Worldwide previews mobile wallet plans, with OTA from Bell ID
International payment systems provider ACI Worldwide released a roadmap for improving its mobile wallet and mobile banking solutions.
The company plans to partner with Bell ID to offer over-the-air provisioning and management of NFC applications as well as the management of the secure element on NFC-enabled mobile devices. This service, which will be powered by ACI’s Token Manager, will enable banks to issue and manage virtual cards that can be used with third-party mobile wallets.
ACI also previewed a new closed-loop mobile wallet that will integrate payments, rewards and loyalty into a single system. ACI, which currently supports open-loop mobile transactions from Google, Isis and Visa, says this particular project is still “under development.”
“Companies who offer the best experience to mobile users will profit most in this fast-evolving marketplace,” said Craig Saks, ACI’s VP of Global Product Business Operations. “Our solutions give these financial institutions, processors and retailers the tools they need to innovate and re-imagine relationships with their customers in a mobile world.”
