A new framework for citizen privacy and RFID has been adopted by Europe and will go live in six months.
The framework, which is based on RFID technology, has a variety of levels and is optional. Although the public is generally opposed to such an idea, the creators believe adoption will increase over time.
According to RFIDworld.ca, the benefit of the platform is to keep citizens information private, however, questions have been raised as the platform could be a breeding ground for Security mishaps.
More details on how exactly the framework will work practically are forthcoming as the technology comes to market, later this year.
