MyID PIV smart card and ID management system supports FIPS 201 PIV II certified smart cards

With the support of FIPS 201 PIV II certified smart cards and biometric technologies from multiple vendors’ ANSI/INCITS 378 templates, Intercede announced the release of MyID PIV, a smart card and identity management system designed to help US Federal Government agencies and their contractors meet HSPD-12 mandates.
Lutterworth, United Kingdom– Intercede Ltd., a market leader in smart card identity management systems, announced that its FIPS 201 product, “MyID PIV”, supports both Oberthur Card Systems’ recently released FIPS 201 PIV II certified smart cards and biometric technologies from multiple vendors that comply with the ANSI/INCITS 378 Data Interchange Format for Finger Minutiae.
Intercede’s MyID PIV is a comprehensive smart card and identity management system designed to help US Federal Government agencies and their contractors meet HSPD-12 mandates. On April 20, 2006, Oberthur Card Systems’ announced the certification of its new PIV II Smart Card, the first PIV II compliant dual-interface card available to the government market today. Intercede’s MyID PIV enables both partners and end-user agencies to quickly register, identityproof, issue and maintain PIV ID’s based on Oberthur’s PIV II certified smart cards.
