SureID launches enterprise IAM
SureID Inc. announced the launch of SureID Certified Enterprise, a high-assurance identity that provides configurable identity assurance for organizations of different sizes across government and private enterprises.
With the ability to integrate into an organization’s existing systems, SureID offers identity solutions designed to enhance an organization’s confidence that it knows its third-party vendors and contractors who access critical systems and physical locations. Third parties being given access to systems they should not be able to access have been the cause of numerous data breaches.
The SureID Certified Enterprise identity solution includes:
- SureID Certified Enterprise: For medium and large-sized businesses needing a high assurance identity for vendors and contractors. This identity can integrate within a commercial enterprise organization’s existing credential or identification badge system. SureID Certified Enterprise also includes a thorough background screen that can offer ongoing monitoring to an identity on a subscription basis.
- SureID Certified Management Portal: The portal offers full credential lifecycle management for third-party vendors and contractors. Features include registering, identity proofing, screening, credentialing, authenticating, reporting and notification management. The portal also provides real-time revocation allowing system administrators to status check and immediately revoke any credential.
- SureID Certified API: The Application Program Interfaces integrate to existing enterprise identity and access management systems, as well as to logical and physical access controls.
- SureID Certified PIV-I: For government contractors, the new SureID Personal Identity Verification-Interoperable (PIV-I) federated solution can integrate within an organization’s existing infrastructure, enable multifactor authentication and provide trusted access through the federal bridge. This trusted identity can also help Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal government contractors to achieve NIST SP 800-171 compliance.
Carillon unveils Pathfinder
Carillon Information Security and Technology Industries announced the availability of a FIPS-201 compliant Identity and Access Management platform using Carillon’s Pathfinder Server Based Certificate Verification Protocol (SCVP) solution. SCVP is an Internet standard protocol that enables agencies to centrally validate federal credentials, an essential security component of FIPS 201.
Pathfinder SCVP services provides a scalable approach to manage the complexities of proper PD-Val (Path Discovery and Validation), especially when working with large communities such as the U.S. Federal Bridge PKI. When combined with Technology Industries’ proven EntryPoint access management platform, customers have a simple, inexpensive and PACS- agnostic solution for logical and physical applications.
This approach solves the Federal agencies requirements to do PIV, CAC, PIV-I, CIV PD-Val in conformity with HSPD-12 without the need to rip and replace Physical Access and Control Systems (PACS) that are already deployed. Carillon’s Pathfinder SCVP solution is designed for high performance and is capable of returning an SCVP PKI validation response in less than 100 milliseconds.
Nok Nok labs, Gallagher partner on IoT
Nok Nok Labs announced a partnership with New Zealand-based Gallagher, a provider of security solutions. The two companies will bring to market a new platform that provides an open standards-based approach for the authentication of IoT systems using mobile devices.
The new Nok Nok Labs-Gallagher platform addresses common challenges faced by facilities managers, ensuring only authorized users can access secure facilities and reducing cardholder management costs; access using a mobile phone eliminates the need for physical access cards and removes the administration involved in assigning temporary cards to employees who have forgotten or misplaced theirs.
To use the new Gallagher platform enabled by Nok Nok Labs, a user needs to be registered and can then simply and securely access the FIDO-enabled app on their mobile device to unlock the door to the secured facility.
Gallagher access control devices will now support the FIDO Universal Authentication Framework protocol. The FIDO Certified Nok Nok S3 Authentication Suite will be integrated with Gallagher Command Centre, an on-premise solution that includes credentials, readers and intermediate controllers. Customers will be able to use cloud registration for FIDO enablement that overlays multiple Gallagher Command Centres, increasing ease-of-use and site security.
The new Nok Nok Labs-Gallagher platform will be available later this year, following the October release of Gallagher Command Centre version 7.60. The platform will rollout progressively in regions including North America, Europe, Turkey, Australia and New Zealand.
GET partners with Speed Identity
GET Group North America, a provider of identity, credential and access management (ICAM) solutions, announced that it has entered into an exclusive reseller agreement with Speed Identity, a provider of solutions for biometric security, to offer biometric live capture solutions to the North American market.
GET Group NA is partnering with Speed Identity to provide a biometric capture solution featuring live enrollment capabilities so that all captured biometric data is collected at one time, ensuring data is securely tied to the applicant. This reduces enrollment time to just a few minutes; secures the process from application input to immediate ID document production output; and enables compliance with the standards and regulations for biometric data.
Virtually all security documents used for travel, airports, government agencies, nuclear plants, and other facilities and organizations where security is vital, are moving toward the use of biometrics for identity screening.
