Sprint offering Ping Identity for mobile access

Ping Identity is supplying cloud-based single sign-on for Sprint business customers that use Google Apps for Work.
PingOne is an identity as-a-service solution from that delivers secure access for employees on any device and gives IT one dashboard to manage user access for all applications. PingOne supports applications that have standards-based single sign-on and applications with basic password-based logins.
“This will enable Sprint customers who collaborate on their devices with Google apps to login with one password and get access to al their apps through the one login,” says Mike Kane, director of Business Development at Ping Identity.
Sprint will set up the devices for employees so that all they will have to do is use the one login and have access to all their apps and data, Kane says. IT managers will also be able to provision access to the apps and data from one place making it a simpler process.
Offering this type of functionality is important as 37% percent of the workforce will be mobile by 2015 so having access to collaboration tools on mobile devices will be critical to the success of businesses, according to research from IDC.
Sprint’s offer of Google Apps for Work includes:
- Service and support – An array of deployment and support services, called Carefree Cloud, to help businesses plan and use the solution across all employees. Carefree Cloud includes consultation, deployment, mobile device configuration, and 24/7 ongoing admins and end user support with online user training guidance to simplify the implementation and use of Google Apps for Work from end to end. An e-learning application and end-user live call support are available at no charge during an initial promotional period.
- Complete solution – Sprint aims to package all elements needed to support a cloud-based collaboration experience. This includes value-added offers such as single sign-on and domain services.
