Master Lock, a manufacturer of padlocks and related security products, has completed an agreement to acquire N4 Systems, the company behind Field ID, a provider of safety management software.
Through the acquisition, Field ID will become a new, complementary offering in Master Lock’s Life Safety business. Field ID’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) product offering gives customers the ability to manage safety more efficiently and effectively with the use of mobile apps and the web.
The Field ID solution will complement existing solutions offered by Master Lock’s Life Safety business, such as Lock-Out / Tag-Out (LOTO) offerings and accessories for industrial safety, providing an organization broader safety audit and compliance tools.
Field ID has more than 300 commercial customers in a wide array of sectors including Caterpillar, GE, Goodrich, Cirque du Soleil, Rolls Royce, Oceaneering, Barrick, CH2M Hill, CBI, Alcoa, Pfizer, RioTinto, Potash Corp., Michigan State University and other well-known organizations. Through them, more than 10,000 organizations access Field ID for safety information.
