Experian has partnered with iovation, a device reputation authority, to add iovation’s device recognition software, dynamic referencing and device reputation checks to Experian’s global fraud prevention services.
With its repository of mobile and online devices, iovation has identified one billion devices around the world and conducts nine billion device reputation checks annually. These checks enable iovation’s client to have the ability to assess whether a transaction could be fraudulent based on the device from which the application is made.
Under the partnership, Experian will add iovation ReputationManager 360 device searches to its Prove-ID ID verification product, Risk-ID card fraud prevention engine and Hunter, an account opening fraud prevention service.
ReputationManager 460 can analyze the past and current behavior of a device to identify and re-recognize it logging into an organization’s website in real time. With this, Experian can see relationships between different accounts with multiple vendors and it can identify an individual’s devices without needing personal information.
