C-SAM has licensed its Mobile Transaction Platform (MTP) to Dai Nippon Printing (DNP) as part of the two companies’ collaboration on a mobile wallet solution that will be fully integrated with DNP’s Trusted Service Management solution, smart card offerings and NFC technologies and digital services.
According to C-SAM, this partnership will result in a mobile wallet solution for mobile operators, retailers and banks, as well as health care and other service providers in Japan and around the world. Multiple mobile services will be offered through the wallet, including payment, offers, coupons, banking, loyalty, health care and other value added services supported by the C-SAM platform.
The C-SAM platform, Secure Mobile Transaction Platform and SDK has previously been selected by Isis, the U.S.-based joint venture of AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, as the foundation of their mobile wallet.
Additionally, C-SAM announced a joint initiative with MasterCard to offer a white label mobile wallet solution based on the MTP, enabling seamless integration with MasterCard’s pre-paid platform, information services, offers and PayPass Wallet Services. C-SAM’s new initiative with DNP will build on and leverage these existing implementations, and allow the exploration of offering interoperable services across the globe, according to the company.
