UPM RFID announced the new UPM Web ultra-high frequency (UHF) and UPM Trap near field (NF) UHF inlays based on the Monza RFID chip from Impinj.
The UPM Web product is suitable for item-level retail, logistics and supply chain applications. It is particularly designed for unique identification of items such as apparel and electronics. The UPM Trap NF UHF product fits for small item-level applications in retail and pharmaceutical track and trace.
Based on the Monza 5 integrated circuit, the new UPM solutions enhance item-level tag performance while providing high read reliability and low applied tag cost in a compact size similar to existing UPC/EAN stickers.
In addition, the Monza Self-Serialization feature offers the ability to generate a unique SGTIN serial number directly from each chip, and without the need for complex and costly unique serialization solutions or services.
