EarthSearch gauges parents response to StudentConnect
EarthSearch announced research findings conducted by the Atlanta-based independent Market Research and Data Analysis firm regarding its RFID student transportation and class attendance monitoring technology, dubbed StudentConnect.
The objective was to survey parents of school-aged students (K-12) to determine their attitudes and perceptions towards the use of RFID technology to address concerns regarding the safety and education of their children.
Research was conducted in two urban markets – Atlanta and Newark, N.J. – with results from both markets indicating that more than 96% of parents would support a school program offering the EarthSearch technology to ensure the safety and support the education of their children.
Based on EarthSearch’s LogiBoxx technology, StudentConnect previously named SchoolsConnect offers wireless integration between GPS and RFID technology to provide real time information about student’s on- and off-campus. With automated alerts, parents and staff are notified when their student or child has been safely picked up or dropped off at home, or at a school, and if they have been excessively late for class or skipped school.
