e-DATA is a manufacturer of Web-based appliances for biometric access control and time and attendance. With a FIPS 201 approved sensor, the devices are capable of being used by federal agencies but also in any imaginable application, even the home.

“The e-DATA Fingerprint Key is a Web appliance, it can hang on any system, an e-DATA access control system or any existing access control system,” said Jason Dugger, creative director for e-DATA. “With us, everything is embedded, there’s no server software required, it’s all embedded.”

The e-DATA solution is weatherized and can operate in a number of different environments. Each e-DATA Fingerprint Key also is capable of being an enrollment device and once someone is enrolled in the system, no matter where, their access privileges are sent to all other connected devices.
