ZK Software, a developer of biometric solutions, has introduced what it is touting as the world’s first dualiometric reader at the ISC West conference in Las Vegas. The device, called iFace, can utilize either fingerprint recognition or facial recognition either separate or together as well as require a PIN or RFID chip for authentication.
In addition to its authentication capabilities, the iFace also boasts the ability to authenticate a face with up to 15 different facial expressions, an infrared night-vision camera for poor lighting authentication and optional Wi-Fi or GRPS communication. Officials from ZK expect the system to be most efficient as a biometric time and attendance tracker, physical access control or identification solution.
