Switzerland-based WISeKey has redesigned its WISeID Password and Personal Data Protector Version 3S to expand its consumer capabilities by this year’s Olympic Games in London.

The application offers strong and secure storage of Personal Identifiable Information. The enhancements include adding NFC-enabled capabilities for security within mobile payments, building and event access, public transportation and parking. It also eases access to special offers, coupons and discounts via smart advertising.

WISeID will also combine strong authentication with social networking platforms to offer safe, binding transactions such as voting or payment processing.

The application is available from the Apple App Store and Android Market. WISeKey also offers a desktop version for Mac OSX and plans to release a PC version this spring.
