Vatican tracks clergy and employees using RFID

Vatican, the central governing body of the Catholic Church, has plans to begin tracking clergy and employees with RFID technology, reports the examiner.com.

Set to take place towards the beginning of next year, the Holy City will issue clergy and employees with an advanced ID card that has a micro-chip device embedded inside the card capable of being used as a tracking device.

The Vatican has considered this technology an option as it sees the need for the tracking clergy and employees due to a recent security breach which took place earlier this year, when a person reportedly stole the pontiff’s private documents and then leaked them to an Italian journalist.

There are many fundamental Christians who look at this issue as one of the ways the anti-Christ may enter into the world arena, as much is said in Scripture about the number 666 and where the number must be placed in order that it would be the mark of the beast.
