VASCO Data Security International Inc. has added a virtual appliance to its IDENTIKEY line of remote access security products.

Like the stand-alone hardware version of the IDENTIKEY appliance, the virtual version offers securitization, but does so within a virtualized environment. The tool validates DIGIPASS generated one-time passwords and e-signatures to secure remote access. This brings a higher level of security to corporate networks and web-based apps.

The appliance complements the IDENTIKEY Authentication Server, the IDENTIKEY Federation Server and the IDENTIKEY Appliance.

The product will be available starting in mid-February.
