Trusted Labs, a France-based evaluator of embedded systems, has extended its 2011 ISO 17025 accreditation to include the validation of NFC mobile applications.

Trusted Labs can now provide security validation services for Android, Java, and iOS NFC handset applications, as well as USIM Java Card applications. According to Trusted Labs, these services verify that the mobile application end user’s privacy and mobile network operator’s assets are protected in open multi-application environments.

Trusted Labs, which is accredited as a Security Validation Entity by the AFSCM (French Association of Mobile Contactless), says it is the first of its kind to extend its 2011 ISO 17025 accreditation to cover NFC mobile applications.
