Truecount debuts RFID Essentials for small to mid-sized retailers

Truecount Corporation, a developer of RFID software for the retail industry, has announced its fast-deploying item-level RFID solution suited to the needs of small to mid-sized retailers, RFID Essentials.

RFID Essentials can be deployed in a single day to get retailers up and running with the ability to capture the advantages of RFID technology, quickly, easily and cost-effectively. Features include the rapid counting of items, accompanied by an accuracy rate of 99% or higher.

With RFID’s counting speed, the time required for full store inventories is reduced from days to hours, and cycle counts can be performed as frequently as desired. This enables full visibility into inventory with the savings on time and labor for all inventory processes. Out-of-stocks and overstocks are also reduced, leading to enhanced customer satisfaction.

In addition, RFID Essentials can integrate into many point-of-sale (POS), ordering and warehouse systems. At the register, an RFID reader can replace existing bar code readers, and at the door, RFID can replace existing electronic article surveillance (EAS) security tag systems.
