The Phoenix Group, a distributor of point of sale (POS) terminals in the U.S., announced that it will offer Ingenico’s line of NFC-enabled Telium readers to independent sales organizations throughout the U.S.

The multi-year distribution agreement allows the group to market and sell Ingenico’s Telium series POS products, including the iPP220 & iPP320 PIN pads, iCT220 & iCT250 countertop terminals, and iWL220 & iWL250BL bluetooth wireless devices. In addition, The Phoenix Group will house a swap pool of the Telium devices in an effort to improve customer service and will perform all key injections and downloads for the Telium line.

Built around Ingenico’s Telium 2 architecture and EMV Level 2 kernel, each Telium device comes standard with all payment technologies already embedded, including EMV, contactless, NFC and tradition magnetic stripe, according to Ingenico.
