Stowers Institute for Medical Research, Kansas City, Mo. has partnered with Terso Solutions Inc. for an RFID-based automated stockroom inventory management solution.

Terso’s RFID stockroom inventory management solution tracks who took what and when in a 24/7 environment – from charge capture and maintaining accurate inventory records, to PAR levels and reordering.

The real-time monitoring solution enables Stowers to better manage current inventory, automate and increase efficiencies for the Receiving Department as well as researchers, and reduce issues around variances in the researchers’ workflow.

Using RFID technology will aid to manage medical and research inventory, addressing: inventory shrinkage, inaccurate charge capture, inefficient PAR level management and reordering processes, inefficient manual sign out and reconciliation processes, and lack of security and regulatory controls.
