South African document management company Meniko has developed a new product called GreenBox that’s capable of biometric ID management, reports ITWeb.

Developed with Ideco Biometric Security Solutions, GreenBox combines multiple types of ID collection, including a camera, fingerprint reader, document scanner and other features to manage identity verification from the same device. It enables companies to manage identity information in a paperless environment and while still meeting compliances such as FICA and RICA.

GreenBox is targeted toward many industries, particularly financial services, where account holders’ identities constantly need to be verified.

Meniko will demonstrate GreenBox at the ITWeb IDentity Indaba Executive Forum on September 11.
