Dubai’s Simage Technologies has unveiled its new contactless terminal, a multi-function device designed for use in financial services, the public sector, transportation and mobile communications.

The compact, portable contactless terminal features a touchpad screen, printer and multi-biometrics support for user authentication, and supports ISO 14443 Type A/B standards as well as the ISO 21481 standard for NFC-enabled devices.

The terminal uses the Android operating system and can be connected to the host system via Ethernet, RS232, GPRS, and Wi-Fi. Simage also says that it can customize the terminal as per service provider’s requirements of color, branding and functionality.
