L-1 Identity Solutions and France-based Safran have announced that the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) has approved the proposed merger between the two companies by completing its investigation of the merger and finding no unresolved national security concerns.

With the news of the approval, Safran and L-1 officials announced their intent to complete the merger within the next five business days.
