UK-based test lab RFI Global has been accredited by Visa to perform tests on a number of products for the mobile financial services industry, including mobile handsets, Universal Integrated Circuit Cards (UICC), microSD and embedded secure element combinations.

RFI Global will test these products in compliance with the Visa Mobile Contactless Payment Specification to ensure they support Visa payWave contactless payment transactions. RFI Global, together with Collis and Witham Laboratories, was recently acquired by UL. All three labs will rebrand to UL by November 1, 2012, according to RFI.
