GlobalPlatform announced the addition of Proxama to its list of Observer Members.

Proxama, a specialist in NFC mobile wallet and mobile marketing technology, will focus its efforts on GlobalPlatform’s Mobile Task Force. The Mobile Task Force works to understand the business requirements of the secure mobile services ecosystem to establish an agreed infrastructure.

The Mobile Task Force is central to a number of Proxama’s operations using secure elements in mobile devices. Membership will allow Proxama to stay up-to-date with the current and future requirements of the GlobalPlatform-based infrastructures.

Also key for Proxama will be the networking and knowledge sharing opportunities associated with attending GlobalPlatform meetings.

GlobalPlatform is focused on furthering the development of the mobile landscape. The Platform’s recent announcement that it has surpassed 100 members is a landmark achievement in the standardization of secure chip technology in today’s marketplace.
