The Plainfield Public Library in Union County, N.J. has chosen 3M RFID to manage its collection of nearly 200,000 items.

Plainfield will utilize 3M RFID technology to enhance identification and tracking of materials, all the while ensuring security and simplifying check-in and checkout for both customers and staff.

Implementation will take place over the next two to three months as the library marks its materials with 3M RFID tags, installs three 3M SelfCheck System R-Series and a 3M Detection System Model 9100 and begins using the 3M Digital Library Assistant.
