Patelco Credit Union, the fifth largest credit union in California, has contracted with ThreatMetrix to provide security against cyberfraud and malware attacks, as well as meet FFIEC banking guidance.

Patelco will implement ThreatMetrix’s TrustDefender ID and TrustDefender Cloud products. TrustDefender ID protects financial institutions through SaaS-based, real-time device identification and identity verification.

TrustDefender Cloud can detect man-in-the-browser attacks and Trojans that target customers’ devices. It can then provide financial institutions with information on customers with compromised devices.

The ThreatMetrix products will replace Patelco’s home-grown solution for FFIEC compliance by implementing layered security, complex device identification and malware threat detection.
