OpenPeak Inc. added security enhancements to its SECTOR app wrapping technology to add support for per-app VPNs and three-factor authentication. It is now also integrated with Precise Biometrics’ Tactivo smart card and fingerprint sensor.

The technology supports PIN, smart card and fingerprint authentication methods to access apps on mobile devices. It also enables for fingerprint swipe sign-on instead of a PIN. Businesses can also implement policy-driven IPsec VPN on a per-app basis.

The technology supports the U.S. federal government’s CAC and PIV cards, and is also targeted to other types of enterprises who used BYOD.

OpenPeak is demonstrating this new technology at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
