Indianapolis-based Officescape has updated its Telesecure Computing security and management platform. The new version leverages smart card and thin client technology to combat a variety of identity management issues surrounding remote access.
Telesecure Computing incorporates a FIPS-compliant smart card and Officescape’s TelOffice Box thin client, which encrypts passwords before clients establish a VPN connection. This thin client functions in virtual or cloud computing environments.
Two-factor authentication is supplied through a smart card physical token and a password or biometric logical token. The smart card features an encrypted certificate, secure 3DES key and a bad password counter file.
Officescape works with Telesecure Computing clients to develop startup files and a login process that’s embedded onto each smart card. Once this process is complete, companies’ authorized administrators can manage provisioning and rights modifications of the smart cards in house.
