NIST certifies charismathics middleware

Charismathics announced that NIST has re-certified the company’s CSSI PIV Middleware as FIPS 201 compliant.

CSSI PIV ensures compliance with existing as well as future PIV cards and also all legacy Defense Department Common Access Cards and support for SIPRnet cards and tokens. charismathics enables interoperability and hardware independence as well as software support across computer and mobile platforms, including Mac OS X, Linux and Android.

The charismathics’ Smart Security Interface middleware supports smart cards from and provides support for multiple computer platforms including Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and Android. High security deployments that require Secure PIN Entry can utilize charismathics’ CSSI middleware.

In addition, CSSI provides support for a wide variety of computer applications including computer logon, disk encryption, Single Sign-On, pre-boot authentication, email security and digital signature applications. CSSI provides support for Microsoft CryptoAPI, PKCS11 and Apple TokenD.
