InAuth, a mobile security software provider, has released its Voice Biometrics Authentication Module. Geared to the mobile banking sector, this software provides an opt-in way to use a voice fingerprint to secure a mobile financial transaction.

The voice fingerprinting on the software can dynamically identify users without adding processes onto the user experience. It quickly authenticates and provides an audit trail of customer use.

The software maps specific voice characteristics, including pitch and rhythm, and uses those to verify a user’s identity and provide confidence of the user’s validity to the financial institution.

InAuth also works with financial institutions to find new threats and attacks so that it can add further protection to its software line.
