SMARTCON, an EMV product specialist based in Brazil, and SCIL, a New York-based EMV products provider, have announced a partnership that will provide EMV products and services to U.S. and Canadian financial services companies.

The partnership will be able to assist companies with their EMV migration projects and act as a distributor to the North American market.

SMARTCON provides EMV products and services to its customers in Brazil and other parts of the world. Its EMV-powered payment system includes the SMARTCON Independent Payment Application for MULTOS and JavaCard.

The EMV package it offers includes the card application, an EMV certification authority and EMV Kernel for ATMs. It also prepares data and provides full-grade host authorization software.
