A new Morpho company under the Safran group has been launched called MorphoTrust USA.

The new company, which was formed after the acquisition of three divisions and the headquarters of former biometrics developer L-1 Identity Solutions, will serve as an identity solutions provider dedicated to the U.S. market only.

The newly launched company starts out with more than 1,200 ID service centers in the U.S. and already existing business relationships through driver license issuance solutions to 41 different states. The company also has a facial recognition solution in use by the FBI for their Next Generation Identity program as well as mtiple techologies in use at the Department of Defense.
