MoCo launches NFC tracking solution

UK’s MoCo is offering a new NFC-based service that lets users track people and assets with NFC handsets, according to mobile news.

The new system, called Touch, uses RFID tags to enable organizations to keep track of their assets across a supply chain, or confirm the location of employees in the workplace, says mobile news.

In the latter scenario, employees check into work by tapping their NFC handsets against a fixed location tag, generating a real-time log of their comings and goings for the employer to monitor.

Touch also features a patented menu design that allows the user to choose on the spot whatever function they desire from the tag, thus enabling different users to read the same tag and launch different programs on their phone, according to mobile news.
