POS Portal, a national distributor of point-of-sale terminal modules, has selected Ingeico’s Telium series of NFC and EMV-enabled products for sale and distribution to its independent sales organizations in the U.S.

Under the agreement, POS Portal will distribute Ingenico’s Telium countertop terminals, NFC-enabled mobile devices, and customer-facing terminals, enabling merchants to accommodate all forms of payment including contactless, EMV, NFC mobile, and traditional magnetic stripe cards.

According to POS Portal, the move capitalizes on the imminent migration to EMV chip-based contact and contactless payments in the U.S.

The complete Telium series covers iCT220 & iCT250 countertop terminals, iWL220 & iWL250BL (bluetooth) wireless devices, iPP220 & iPP320 PIN pads, and the iSMP smartpay mobile device for iPhone and iPod touch.

According to Ingenico, each device comes standard with all payment technologies already embedded to enable merchants securely accept and process electronic payments.
