HID Global released Secure Identity Services, a credential management system for on-demand card badging and credential provisioning. The Web-based system can handle badges on plastic cards, tokens and digital credentials for select NFC-enabled smart phones.

With Secure Identity Services, users can manage the flow of ID card badge requests and large-volume re-badging projects. Users can also use the system to combine multiple technology platforms onto one card and deploy mobile credentials. Additional features of the service include key management, anti-counterfeiting, custom graphics and personalization capabilities. Issued credentials can comply with PIV-I requirements.

The system includes iCLASS SE mobile credentialing services. It can deploy mobile credentials to selected NFC-enabled BlackBerry smart phones used in an enterprise secure access network. HID plans to expand the service to support more credentials and NFC smart phone platforms for all major network operators.

Users can deploy mobile credentials through a dashboard system to issue secure identity and digital keys through a cloud-based portal. Within a managed-service context, credentials are provisioned over the air onto the phone. The phone then be used for physical access and access to online physical access control readers or NFC-electromechanical locks. The mobile credentials also allow for PC login.

As HID evolves the system, users will be able to make security changes over the air and share digital cards and keys with authorized users through NFC. Another coming feature will be generation of one-time password soft tokens for network access.
