HID Global has announced it has deployed a solution to the Dental Council of India (DCI) to streamline its time and attendance management system.

The specific solutions provided by HID Global is the SmartID, a smart card and fingerprint reader, and EDGEPlus, controllers integrated with both card readers as well as management software from Rasilant Technologies.

The new solution has been deployed to more than 290 dental colleges across India allowing for remote, real-time tracking of faculty attendance.

The results of the system is a reduction in human errors as well as 50% savings in operational costs due to the software and hardware eliminating inaccurate attendance accounting, reducing errors in salary calculation and centralized record transmittal avoiding falsification of records.
