Haldor Advanced Technologies and Intelligent InSites announced a joint venture to design and develop an enterprise real-time location system (RTLS) solution to help improve hospital operations.

The integrated solution incorporates Intelligent InSites’ enterprise RTLS software platform with Haldor’s ORLocate system, enabling hospitals and sterilization centers to track, monitor and manage the flow and capabilities of RFID-tagged surgical instruments, endoscopes, and consumables in real-time.

Haldor’s ORLocate is FDA 510K-approved and CE-marked commercially-available, and offers users the functions to simultaneously read multiple surgical instruments in a split second, whether it be within or between the sterile processing departments or the operating rooms.

By combining data from the ORLocate system with the visualization and business intelligence capabilities of the Intelligent InSites solution, healthcare organizations can gain valuable information to further improve workflow efficiency, staff productivity, and patient safety and satisfaction.
