Green Edge Systems called on for temperature monitoring

The South Texas Coop Child Nutrition Program has selected Green Edge Systems, for its wireless temperature monitoring system and it’s iQuality handheld PDA.

The iQuality PDA has an integrated RFID reader that allows users to read RFID temperature tags that are placed inside each of the refrigeration units. It has no screws or connecting parts – avoiding any possibility of accumulating debris, which may become a food safety hazard.

The system tracks temperatures every single minute, performing 1440 readings daily, allowing schools to fully adhere to the USDA guidelines.

Using the systems’ Web-based dashboard, administrators can monitor the entire district from any computer to review a given location’s current status, reconfigure sensors and generate reports.
