Gemalto and nAppliance Networks are launching a new bundled strong authentication solution for the North American market.

Gemalto’s Protiva software will be preloaded on the nAppliance hardware security platform, to create a plug-and-play authentication appliance for easy installation and configuration. A step-by-step menu – “wizard-based” – will take IT professionals through a setup which connects all components of the security device to the existing infrastructure.

Traditional solutions require configuration of each individual component and can require hours for deployment. The solution makes it possible for businesses of any size to deploy a hardened and secure two-factor authentication solution, combining something that the user knows with something that the user possesses, such as a token or smart card.
