GuardRFID announced that it will be demonstrating its Argus Active RFID system, with its “seek and follow” capability, which enables automatic switching within a video surveillance system to follow a tagged person or item moving throughout its area of coverage.
The GuardRFID suite features integrated active RFID and closed-circuit television (CCTV), which also includes the ability to control panning and zooming of pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) cameras as the active tag moves from one location to the next.
GuardRFID provides tag types that can be placed either on people or objects, tags that are equipped with sensors to detect tamper attempts, motion, temperature and even visible light. In addition, the tags support 2-way communications, which provide alerts if the person or object that they are mounted on have a sudden fall.
GuardRFID will demonstrate its Argus Active RFID surveillance system at ASIS International 2011 which is being held September 19 – 22 in Orlando, FL.
