GAO handheld reader for animal ID and mgmt

GAO RFID announced its handheld RFID reader series for animal identification and management, for applications such as stock breeding, animal control, or foodstuff tracking systems.
The reader series, model 222014, include two versions. One is used to read compatible RFID tags, display the tag ID on the screen and store the data to onboard memory. The other performs with the additional capability to upload the data in real time via Bluetooth to a computer or PDA.
These low-requency RFID readers feature fast and accurate scanning with memory capacity for storing approximately 2,000 items. They work continuously for up to 12 hours on a single charge and come shipped with demo software and SDK.
The portable RFID reader series meet ISO11784/5 FDX-B and ID64 standards and are also appropriate for logistics, field service, personnel tracking and event management.
