Douglas Group, an international retail organization with more than 1,500 stores throughout Europe, will soon accept Visa contactless and mobile payments at all of its chain stores in Germany.

Contactless and mobile payments with Visa, based on the Visa payWave technology, will enable customers to pay up to an amount of €25 without entering a PIN or providing a signature. They simply hold the card or smart phone in front of the terminal, completing the transaction in less than a second.

This quick and convenient payment option will help to eliminate queues in the stores of the Douglas perfumery, Thalia bookshops, Christ jewelry stores, AppelrathCüpper fashion boutiques and Hussel confectionery shops.

The complete changeover of all Douglas Group’s 3,500 terminals will be completed by the end of Q1 2013.
